First, Justin has been called as the second counselor in the Bishopric of our old BYU Singles Ward. It was a very big surprise and extremely daunting, but we've prayed through it and after attending that ward for 3 weeks, it really starting to feel like home. We thought there would be a lot of the same people who were there when we were in the ward, but enough have moved out, that it's not too weird at all. It's very comfortable and welcoming. We're excited about it, even though it does take us out of our family ward in which our records are. Keeping up friends is a hard thing to do when you don't ever see them.
Second, we did celebrate Mother's day! Justin told me he wasn't going to get me anything because I'm "not a mother yet." I didn't mind...we don't have a lot of money! But that sneaky boy went out Saturday night to get a bike pump and came back with flowers! Funny thing about them, he doesn't like them and cringes everytime he looks at them. They are yellow alstroemerias, which are still quite pretty and brighten up our apartment, but he's declared he will never buy me cheap flowers again. :-) He also made me breakfast on Sunday and gave me a wonderful book that I've been reading at work: I'm not sure of the exact title, but it's about finding contentment during motherhood. It really hits home for me because I often am critical of my own efforts and schedules and compare myself to other people. A goal and hope of mine as a mother-to-be is to enjoy every moment. I know that's not completely possible, but I really want to cherish the moments. This book is helping me prepare to do that. AND he gave me some really cool earings!
He bought them at Christmas and decided to not give them to me, but he had to wait long enough until I forgot about them. And I completely had! These aren't the exact colors, but you get the idea of what they look like. They are so beautiful! I love them. I wore them on Sunday and got so many compliments! :-) he did a good job. He makes me feel very loved and appreciated. He's a wonderful husband and my best friend!! :-DUm, other than all that, we went to visit a prison on Saturday because our brother-in-law works at the prison. It was an interesting tour. Just to see the different halls and the smalle cells and they even had this exhibit of how the "gang members" create their own make shifts tatoo guns and needles. SO crazy! Prison is not some place i want to go. We also saw a demo by the SWAT team...basically their dog "played" with another SWAT member. I don't wanna be chased by that dog.
Here are some updated pics of me...they are from a couple week ago when we had Spencer down for dinner. But they're more updated than the ones we've currently got posted! I'm now 26 weeks...and man I don't know how my belly is going to keep growing! My favorite part is when my little baby boy moves around and sqirms and lets me know he's there and well. Justin and I have only played this game once, but when we poke my belly and hold it there, baby gets upset that his space is being invaded and pushes back. We love it! We tried shining a flashlight in on him to see if he'd respond to that (mybabycenter.com said he might by now)...but he didn't. We'll try that again later. :-) It's crazy to me how much I love him alread when I haven't even really seen him! I'm so excited (nervous!) for August!

You are seriously sooooooooo cute! The funny thing about belly size and such is that the baby will grow the most in the last month! Haha... somehow there's always enough room! ;)
Happy late mother's day, you cutie patootie. Those earrings are so you! Justin really did do a good job, like the bestest best friend would! It's fun to hear how much you enjoy your pregnancy and good to see Spencer.
